Robert Shelley
President/Creative Director

From Black & Decker to AARP, from Westinghouse to CBS, Bob has left his mark of quality, creativity and results driven brand identity programs that work. Each program produced to identify, clarify and communicate our client’s core identity and distinguish them from their competition.

Bob has worked at many of the leading design firms before opening his own firm, Shelley Design, in 1992. As creative director/senior designer, Bob has been able to offer his iconic brands to a wide variety of businesses from multi-national corporations to sole proprietorships.

Bob was founder and former president of AIGA-Baltimore, board member of the Urban Design Council and member of the Montgomery County I-270 Technology Corridor, board member of Chesapeake Sustainable Business Alliance and Baltimore Buy Local, member Greater Baltimore Committee and member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

He has been a lecturer at the University of Maryland, the University of Baltimore, John Hopkins University and featured speaker and member of the faculty at the 1998 MacWorld Conference, San Francisco.

Bob has also taught at the University of Baltimore, The Maryland Institute College of Art, The College of Notre Dame and Goucher College.

He has been awarded by AIGA, CA Magazine, Print Magazine, The New York Art Directors Annual, Graphis Magazine, Advertising Association of Baltimore, Art Direction Magazine, CASE, Washington Art Directors Club, and the Washington Advertising Association.

Lorrie Schoettler
Director of Communications & Social Media

As owner of Swallowtail Consulting, Lorrie Schoettler brings her experience as a seasoned nonprofit manager with executive experience, a small business development professional with micro-lending experience, and an organic farmer to leverage best practices for her clients. Lorrie has evolved as a consultant to one with an eye for sustainable systems within the environments and individuals of the organizations she serves. As an entrepreneur herself, Lorrie understands the tensions faced by many small business owners and nonprofit managers whose days are defined by the tensions between vision and implementation. She is able to assist people and businesses express their aspirations fully, and then define specific tasks and timelines toward the achievement of those aspirations.
Lorrie has a degree in nonprofit management from Goddard College in Vermont; and a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University in Colorado. She is a trained Main Street Manager by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and a seasoned grant writer trained at the Foundation Center. She is currently affiliated with the Steering committees of Sustainable Shepherdstown (Shepherdstown, WV) and the Local Economy Network in Berkeley Springs, WV. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown.
